Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, following the recent attacks linked to the United States and Israel.
In a message shared on X, Erdoğan offered condolences on behalf of Türkiye and its people to the Iranian nation.
He stressed that Türkiye will continue working closely with regional partners to help restore peace and stability. Erdoğan also highlighted the need to end the ongoing conflict and return to diplomacy as the main solution.
The statement reflects Ankara’s long-standing position of encouraging dialogue and de-escalation in the Middle East, especially as tensions increase after strikes on Iran and retaliatory actions across the Gulf.
