The United States is reportedly running low on key missiles as fighting with Iran escalates. According to CNN, stocks of Tomahawk land-attack missiles, SM-3 interceptors, and Patriot missiles are being heavily used during the joint US-Israeli offensive.
A senior US official said more attacks are expected soon, especially targeting Iran’s missile factories, drones, and naval forces. The United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) is also concerned because many Patriot missiles were already used to support Ukraine’s air defenses during its war with Russia.
The United States Central Command said recent strikes destroyed 11 Iranian vessels in the Gulf of Oman. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed that 49 Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, had been killed. US B-2 stealth bombers also targeted Iran’s hardened missile facilities.
The conflict has already caused casualties on both sides. At least six US service members have died and 18 have been seriously wounded. Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks aimed at Gulf countries hosting US military bases, raising fears that the conflict could spread further across the region.
