Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the world has entered a period of chaos where powerful countries act as they please and ignore the rules they once supported. Speaking in Ankara, he argued that global instability increased after attacks on Türkiye’s neighbor, Iran.

Erdogan criticized major powers for abandoning principles like sovereign equality, diplomacy, and peaceful conflict resolution when it suits their interests. He said values such as justice and cooperation are being “trampled on,” and that hostility and conflict are becoming normal in international relations.

He made it clear that Türkiye would not stay neutral on major global issues, especially when regional peace is threatened. However, he stressed that Ankara supports dialogue over war and negotiation over force.

Erdogan also said Türkiye would stand for peace, stability, justice, and development, while refusing to back what he described as criminals or those responsible for genocide.
