At least 22 people lost their lives and 24 others were injured in a tragic road accident in Angola on Saturday. The crash happened in the municipality of Munenga, located in Cuanza Sul Province.
According to reports, the bus was carrying 56 passengers when its brakes failed. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the road and overturn. The accident resulted in many casualties and injuries.
João Lourenço, the president of Angola, expressed deep sadness over the tragedy. In a statement, he honored the victims and offered condolences to their families. He also said the government would investigate the causes of the accident and work to prevent similar tragedies in the future. The president also wished a quick recovery for those who were injured.
