Two U.S. envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, have reportedly cancelled a planned visit to Israel. According to Channel 12, the trip was called off on Tuesday, though no official reason was provided.
The visit had been scheduled for discussions with Israeli officials about the ongoing conflict with Iran. There has been no immediate confirmation from either the Israeli government or the United States.
The situation follows joint military strikes launched by the United States and Israel on February 28 that reportedly killed more than 1,200 people, including Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting American military bases.
