Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that Israel’s expanding military operations risk pushing the Middle East into a broader and more dangerous crisis.
Speaking at an iftar event in Ankara, Erdogan accused Israeli leadership of acting with a sense of superiority while intensifying actions across multiple fronts, including Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and most recently Iran. He argued that these operations go beyond security concerns and threaten to destabilize the entire region.
Erdogan also strongly criticized restrictions on access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stating that its closure to Muslim worshippers for over two weeks represents a serious violation of religious freedoms and a provocation in an already tense environment.
Highlighting the humanitarian impact, he pointed to rising civilian casualties and widespread displacement, emphasizing the suffering of innocent populations caught in the conflict.
Türkiye has increasingly positioned itself as a vocal critic of Israel’s military campaign, warning that continued escalation could trigger far-reaching regional consequences.
