Sergey Naryshkin says Russia is still in contact with the Central Intelligence Agency, showing that communication between the two sides hasn’t completely stopped despite ongoing tensions.
He explained that intelligence channels remain open, even as political disagreements continue between Russia and the United States.
On the war in Ukraine, Naryshkin rejected a proposed Easter ceasefire by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying Moscow does not trust Kyiv. Instead, he called on Ukraine to accept Russia’s peace terms.
He also said Russia is in talks with different countries about the growing crisis in the Middle East, suggesting Moscow wants to stay involved in finding possible solutions.
In simple terms, even though conflicts and disagreements are ongoing, major powers are still talking behind the scenes especially through intelligence channels.
