A deadly overnight strike hit southern Lebanon, destroying a building in Zebdine near Nabatieh and leaving rescuers searching through rubble for victims. The attack came shortly after another strike in Beirut’s Jnah area, where several people were killed and many others injured, according to local officials.

These incidents show how the conflict is spreading deeper into civilian areas, far beyond traditional front lines. The situation escalated further when Hezbollah launched drones and rockets toward northern Israel, triggering sirens and emergency responses in border communities.

At the same time, Iran carried out missile strikes against Israeli targets, marking one of its most direct involvements in the current conflict. This growing back-and-forth between multiple sides has raised serious concerns about a larger regional war.

In simple terms: what started as localized fighting is now pulling in more countries and groups, making the situation much more dangerous.

The impact is already being felt globally. Oil prices have surged as markets worry about possible disruptions in the Middle East—especially around key shipping routes and energy infrastructure. Countries in the West are urging calm, warning that continued escalation could destabilize the entire eastern Mediterranean region.

Overall, tensions are rising quickly, and the risk of a broader conflict is becoming more real.
