Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reaffirmed Ankara’s firm stance on protecting national airspace and strengthening security in a message marking Eid al-Fitr
He emphasized that Türkiye remains vigilant against any violations of its airspace while continuing efforts to maintain peace and stability for its population
Erdoğan also addressed ongoing regional conflicts noting that people in Gaza Strip are observing the holiday under difficult conditions due to continued attacks and restrictions on humanitarian aid He added that tensions remain high across Palestine including East Jerusalem the West Bank and parts of Lebanon
The president further pointed to escalating tensions involving Iran highlighting recent attacks and retaliatory missile and drone operations that have intensified instability in the region
Reiterating Türkiye’s cautious approach Erdoğan said the country continues to act with responsibility while taking necessary measures to ensure national security and regional peace
He also referenced progress in northern Syria stating that reconciliation efforts have helped ease Türkiye’s security concerns while preserving Syria’s territorial integrity
On the domestic front Erdoğan noted that despite global uncertainty Türkiye achieved 3.6 percent economic growth last year ranking among the fastest growing economies in the OECD
