The Take Off Istanbul Startup Summit, the largest technology and entrepreneurship gathering in the region, officially kicked off Wednesday for its eighth edition. The two-day summit is held under the umbrella of TEKNOFEST, the major technology and aviation festival, and is organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and Turkey’s Investment and Finance Office. Anadolu serves as the event’s global communications partner.
The summit has grown significantly since its debut in 2018 as a TEKNOFEST segment, evolving into an independent platform for innovation and entrepreneurship. This year, it brings together roughly 500 startups and 250 investors from more than 40 countries.
Participants can attend keynote speeches and panel discussions covering fintech, connectivity, the space economy, innovation, and emerging markets. Country pavilions from Spain, Bangladesh, North Macedonia, and Uzbekistan will highlight startups and entrepreneurial ecosystems from across the globe, promoting international collaboration.
Special programs, including the “Entrepreneurial Event” and the “International Investor Meeting,” aim to help participants forge new business connections. In addition, the summit offers training sessions for students to nurture the next generation of tech talent and fosters community engagement through a volunteer model.
By combining global investor engagement, startup showcases, and educational programs, Take Off Istanbul continues to strengthen the region’s position as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
