Hong Kong hosted a major innovation showcase as humanoid robots demonstrated advanced capabilities at InnoEX 2026 and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair Spring Edition, held from April 13 to 16 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The exhibitions highlighted the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and robotics, with machines performing tasks ranging from boxing and martial arts routines to playing musical instruments. These demonstrations underscored the growing versatility of robots across multiple sectors, including public services and entertainment.

Chinese robotics firm Unitree unveiled four advanced models equipped with features such as navigation assistance and emergency response capabilities. Some of the robots are designed to operate in hazardous environments, including the ability to handle fire hoses during rescue missions.

Other companies, including UBTECH, EngineAI, and AgiBot, also presented cutting-edge technologies, alongside startups and international participants. The event brought together researchers and industry leaders from across Asia, reflecting strong regional investment in AI-driven innovation.
