Guinea’s chances of qualifying for the next Africa Cup of Nations are diminishing. The Syli National’s appeal was rejected by the CAF disciplinary committee. This information was provided through a statement from the Guinea Football Federation.
According to the Guinea body, the CAF disciplinary committee deemed the request “baseless,” even though it may have been formally acceptable.
Féguifoot announced that they had referred the matter to the jury to learn the detailed reasoning behind the decision and had decided to appeal.
On the 6th day of the AFCON qualifiers, Guinea lost to Tanzania in Dar-es-Salaam. The Guinea federation had stated that their Tanzanian counterparts pointed out an administrative error made by one of the players.
