Veteran actress Ayten Gökçer, who appeared in productions such as “Taçsız Kral”, “Yılan Hikayesi” and “İstanbul Kırmızısı”, died at the age of 84. Gökçer’s funeral will be buried next to her husband Cüneyt Gökçer at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after the noon prayer on Wednesday, May 15. There will be no state ceremony for Gökçer.
Ayten Gökçer, one of the masters of Turkish theater and cinema, died at the age of 84. Born in Ankara, Gökçer was born on January 26, 1940. Gökçer started her artistic career at the ballet department of the Ankara State Conservatory and joined the Ankara State Theater in 1958.
