Chadian President General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno sent a congratulatory message to Abdelfattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council, on the occasion of Sudan’s Independence Day.

On this special day, celebrated annually on January 1st in Sudan, Deby expressed his satisfaction with the “friendship, cooperation, and brotherhood” existing between the two countries and their peoples.

Having assumed the leadership of Chad following the death of his father and being promoted to the rank of Marshal, Deby emphasized his determination to strengthen these relations. Addressing his Sudanese counterpart, he stated, “I guarantee my full commitment to striving for lasting peace, to the benefit of both nations.”

This message was seen as a reflection of the strengthening of strategic relations between Chad and Sudan, as well as an effort to contribute to regional peace.
