The Super Eagles B Team’s Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, emphasized that his team is focusing on the present and future, rather than dwelling on the past.
As the team continues preparations for the CHAN qualifiers against Ghana, Ogunmodede highlighted that they are concentrating on the here and now, as well as on what lies ahead, rather than past experiences.
Also the head coach of Remo Stars, Ogunmodede acknowledged the difficult moments his team had in previous matches against Ghana but stressed that the current success of Nigerian young talents is far more important.
“We know that history has not treated us as a country with sincerity. Therefore, we have decided not to focus on what history has done to us,” he said.
“We are focusing on what will happen now and in the future. We understand how important it is for us to win. If we win, we will secure a better future for ourselves – for the players, coaches, the country, and the new generation of footballers in the country.”
“We have to give our all to be a good market for the league. So, the more you give, the more is expected from you.”
The Nigeria B National Team aims to gain an advantage in the upcoming tournament by hosting Ghana in Uyo and represent their country with pride.
Ghana’s Head Coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, expressed his desire to start afresh in this match and keep his goalpost secure.
