Ethiopia and Russia Agree to Strengthen Joint Efforts for Sustainable Environmental Reform
Ethiopia’s Director-General of the Environmental Protection Authority, Lelise Neme, held a productive meeting with Russia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, to discuss key environmental protection issues.
During this meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen their joint efforts in areas such as experience sharing, training programs, pollution management, solid waste management, ecosystem conservation, technology transfer, and the development of robust environmental reform initiatives.
Additionally, they emphasized the importance of establishing connections between government agencies, private sector actors, and research institutions to deepen practical, evidence-based cooperation.
