Air temperatures in Eskişehir dropped to minus six degrees Celsius, negatively affecting daily life across the city.
As a result of the cold weather, the surface of the Porsuk River froze and became covered with a visible layer of ice. In the early morning hours, some drivers were seen scraping ice off their vehicle windows before starting their cars.
According to the 3rd Regional Directorate of Meteorology, cold weather conditions are expected to persist throughout the week in the city. Residents have been advised to take precautions against freezing temperatures, especially during the morning and nighttime hours.
