Iranian media say recent strikes by the United States and Israel targeted gas facilities in Isfahan and near Khorramshahr. According to the Fars News Agency, the attacks caused partial damage to infrastructure but did not interrupt gas supply.
One reported strike hit a gas administration building and a pressure station in Isfahan, while another targeted a pipeline linked to a power plant near Khorramshahr, close to the border with Iraq. Local officials said the damage was limited and operations continued normally.
The developments come shortly after Donald Trump appeared to ease tensions, saying that the situation with Iran was “going very well.” He also mentioned possible talks and announced a temporary pause in targeting Iranian power infrastructure.
However, the situation remains unclear. Iranian sources have denied that any negotiations are taking place, contradicting earlier statements from Washington.
The strikes were reportedly linked to ongoing pressure over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for global energy supplies.
In simple terms, while there are signs of possible de-escalation, military actions and conflicting messages from both sides are keeping tensions high and uncertain.
