Israel has reportedly spent around $15 billion since the start of its conflicts with Iran and the Hezbollah, with costs expected to keep increasing.
According to reports, most of the spending comes from military operations, with the Defense Ministry requesting billions more to sustain ongoing fighting and prepare for future threats.
But the impact goes beyond the battlefield. Thousands of civilians have filed compensation claims for damage caused by missile attacks, while businesses and workers are also being heavily affected. Billions more are being set aside to support companies, employees, and those forced out of work.
The report suggests this could lead to a long-term increase in Israel’s defense budget, reversing earlier expectations of reduced spending.
At the same time, the government may ease restrictions on economic activity to limit financial losses and keep businesses running despite the conflict.
In simple terms, the war is not only costly in military terms—it is also putting serious pressure on Israel’s economy and everyday life.
