Violence in Lebanon is continuing despite a ceasefire, with 20 more people killed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 2,679 since early March. Injuries have also risen to more than 8,200.

The latest attacks are seen as violations of the ceasefire that began on April 17 and was later extended by Donald Trump until mid-May. However, strikes have continued almost daily.

The escalation began after clashes with Hezbollah, and since then, the situation has worsened significantly. Over 1.6 million people have been forced to leave their homes, creating a massive humanitarian crisis.

With ongoing air and ground attacks, civilians remain at high risk, and hopes for a stable ceasefire are fading as the conflict drags on.
