The Minister of National Education and Literacy of Ivory Coast, Mariatou Koné, urged her collaborators to adhere to the principles of responsibility and accountability in order to further strengthen trust in the country’s education system.

Speaking at the closing of the MENA progress seminar held in Yamoussoukro, Minister Koné expressed her appreciation for the commitment shown by her team during the intense five-day working period. “Thanks to their sacrifices, we have managed to raise the overall satisfaction rate to 67%, and I extend my gratitude to all participants for their contributions,” she said.

Koné emphasized that the trust of citizens and international partners in the education system is reinforced through such efforts. Quoting Nelson Mandela’s statement, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” she highlighted that the ministry plays a critical role in shaping the future of Ivory Coast.

“For our country, every child who does not go to school is a loss,” Koné remarked, urging her team to pursue higher standards and meet the expectations of the citizens.

During the seminar, the Minister also consulted with companies and associations collaborating with the ministry, calling for more active participation in efforts to create a quality education system. Koné noted that these partnerships form the foundation of the country’s education reforms.
