This project reflects a joint commitment to promote education and encourage mutually beneficial partnerships.
As part of a structured and certifying program, Russian language courses will be completely free in the name of inclusivity and equal opportunity, marking a first of its kind in the country. The courses will take place twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, in a space equipped and adapted for optimal learning. This accessibility aims to attract a wide variety of participants: students, professionals, and even curious individuals eager to explore a new language. At the end of each session, participants will receive a Russian language training certificate, a valuable asset, especially for young Nigeriens wishing to continue their studies in Russia, and a document that can be valuable both academically and professionally.
The sessions, led by experienced trainers, including Russian-origin Professor Semenov, offer full immersion into the Russian language and culture. They cover the necessary elements of spoken communication, writing, and cultural foundations to better understand the Russian context.
“The EMMNR NGO aims, on one hand, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Niger and Russia, and on the other hand, to break the language barrier, which is often a major obstacle for our citizens traveling to Russia for academic, professional, or other reasons,” said the spokesperson.
