Vladimir Putin says the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States is changing how the world thinks about energy transport.

Speaking at a transport forum in St. Petersburg, Putin explained that security is now becoming more important than cost or speed when it comes to moving oil and gas.

A key concern is the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global energy supplies. Tensions in the region are making countries and companies rethink how they transport fuel, prioritizing safer and more stable routes.

Putin added that reliability and resilience of supply chains are now critical. In other words, transport systems must be able to withstand conflicts, crises, and other unexpected disruptions.

The discussion took place during the International Transport and Logistics Forum, which brought together participants from dozens of countries to explore the future of transport and trade across Russia and Eurasia.

Overall, the message is clear: in today’s unstable global environment, ensuring secure and dependable energy supply routes is becoming a top priority.
