The heartwarming story of Tabby McTat has made history by winning the Best Children’s: Animation award at the 2024 International Emmy Awards. The South African animated film, directed by Cape Town talents Jac Hamman and Sarah Scrimgeour, is based on the beloved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

The story follows the friendship between a music-loving cat and a street musician named Fred, who form a dynamic duo in the streets of London.
