The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) of the Presidential Communications Directorate made a statement regarding the images shared on the official social media account of the Israeli Ministry of Defense. In the statement, it was stated that it was determined that the weapon in the images published as “the weapon of a person arrested in Hebron was confiscated” was not real, and the following statements were made:
“It has been determined that the weapon claimed to be a rifle in the photo in the aforementioned post is actually a toy and is on sale on many toy sites. Please do not rely on the propaganda campaign carried out by Israel to legitimize the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and to manipulate the world public opinion.”
