The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) announced that water desalination plants in Gaza have stopped working due to a lack of fuel and that people are suffering from severe water shortages.

In a statement released yesterday, UNRWA said, “Critical desalination plants have shut down because there is almost no fuel in Gaza. People barely have enough water.

Families and children walk long distances in the heat for water. People need water to live.”
