2 terrorists, 1 of them wanted in red category, neutralized

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya reported that Sultan Dağ and Zeynep Nibat, one of the so-called leaders of the terrorist organization PKK, one of whom was wanted in the red category, were neutralized in the “Bozdoğan-45” operation organized in rural Batman.

Minister Yerlikaya stated that the Bozdoğan-45 operation was carried out in the countryside of Gercüş as a result of intelligence work carried out by Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Command under the coordination of Gendarmerie General Command Intelligence Directorate and TEM Department, under the direction and administration of Gendarmerie Public Security Corps Command.

Stating that hot contact was established between Gendarmerie Special Public Order Command, Gendarmerie Special Operations, Gendarmerie Commando teams and security guards and terrorists with the support of Air Forces Command aircraft, ATAK attack helicopters and J-SİHA, Yerlikaya noted that terrorists belonging to the separatist terrorist organization were neutralized with their weapons in the clash.

Stating that the neutralized terrorists Sultan Dağ codenamed Beritan Amara and Zeynep Nibat codenamed Zeynep Cudi were found to have participated in 9 attacks in which 6 security guards were martyred and 19 security guards were wounded, Yerlikaya gave the following information:

“Sultan Dağ codenamed Beritan Amara and Zeynep Nibat codenamed Zeynep Cudi participated in the operation on February 29, 2016 in İdil district of Şırnak province in which 5 security guards were wounded due to an IED attack, and in the operation on November 7, 2016 in the central district of Şırnak province in which 1 security guard was martyred due to an armed attack, 1 security guard was martyred and 2 security guards were wounded due to an IED attack in an operation in rural areas of Güçlükonak district of Şırnak province on June 19, 2018; 1 security guard was martyred due to an armed attack in an operation in rural areas of Dargeçit district of Mardin province on October 23, 2018, 1 security guard was wounded; 2 security guards were martyred and 9 security guards were wounded due to an IED attack in an operation in rural areas of İdil district of Şırnak province on December 9, 2019; 1 security guard was martyred and 1 security guard was wounded due to an armed attack in an operation in rural areas of İdil district of Şırnak province on June 16, 2019; and 1 security guard was wounded due to an IED attack against a civilian vehicle returning to the unit in rural areas of Central district of Şırnak province on April 27, 2020. “

11 terrorists neutralized

Minister Yerlikaya reported that a total of 11 terrorists from the separatist terrorist organization, 2 of whom were in the red, 4 in the orange and 2 in the gray category, were neutralized by the heroic gendarmerie commandos during the Eid holiday.

Congratulating the Air Force Command, heroic gendarmerie and security guards who carried out the operation, Yerlikaya said, “The prayers of our nation are with you. We will not stop or pause until the last terrorist is neutralized.”
