Nigerian Afrobeats star Zlatan Ibile and his partner, Davita Lamai, brought together traditional fashion and celebrity glamour as they celebrated their traditional wedding in Lagos on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The couple made two striking fashion statements during the ceremony, moving from Benin-inspired traditional attire adorned with coral beads to coordinated Yoruba outfits in soft shades of green and cream.

The celebration drew personalities from Nigeria’s entertainment industry, including Afrobeats singer Davido, Fuji music star K1 De Ultimate and social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa.

Davido, one of Zlatan’s close friends, joined the groomsmen, appearing alongside the groom in matching traditional attire.

“One love to my brother Zlatan. We have been waiting for this day for a very, very long time, and it is finally here. Everyone is so happy to be here. We are going to have a good time,” Davido said in a video posted before the ceremony.

The singer arrived at the venue in a white Rolls-Royce after landing in Nigeria on Thursday.

But beyond the star-studded guest list, the couple’s changing outfits provided some of the celebration’s most striking visual moments.

For their first look, the couple embraced Benin-inspired attire, with coral beads taking centre stage. Davita wore a deep-red beaded gown paired with a multi-strand coral necklace and a matching headpiece. Zlatan complemented her look in a white traditional outfit with red bead detailing and layered coral necklaces.

The coordinated ensembles drew on the rich visual traditions associated with Edo ceremonial dress, where coral beads are prominent markers of cultural identity and prestige.

Zlatan shared photographs of the look on Instagram with the caption, “IT’S TIME TO MARRY.”

For their second appearance, the couple opted for a softer palette and coordinated silhouettes inspired by Yoruba traditional fashion.

Zlatan wore a light-green agbada featuring cream embroidered panels, paired with a matching cap, layered white and green beads and a dark-green walking cane.

Davita wore a pale-yellow skirt-and-blouse ensemble with light-green appliqué detailing, a fitted bodice and flared sleeves. A matching gele completed her look, while a green clutch added a coordinated finishing touch.

Zlatan captioned photographs of the second look, “MR & MRS OMONIYI.”

The groom’s groomsmen, including Davido, also posed in matching Benin-inspired native outfits, extending the coordinated fashion theme beyond the couple.
