Burkina Faso President Captain Ibrahim Traoré Accelerates Efforts to Eradicate Corruption in Public Administration
Burkina Faso President Captain Ibrahim Traoré is intensifying his efforts to eliminate corruption in public administration. On November 18, in Ouagadougou, he met with members of the Steering Council of the Commission for the Regulation of Dysfunctions (CRD), emphasizing the importance of his anti-corruption reform.
The Mission of the CRD
Established on July 24, 2024, and reporting directly to the presidency, the CRD is tasked with identifying dysfunctions in public administration and ensuring the application of judicial and administrative sanctions. This strategic body aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in state management.
Call for Concrete Actions
During the meeting, President Traoré urged CRD members to move beyond mere assessments and take concrete actions to achieve tangible results. “You must be the pioneers of real behavioral change to meet the expectations of our citizens and improve public services,” he insisted, reaffirming his determination to implement the reforms.
Restoring Trust
Under Traoré’s leadership, this initiative is part of a broader strategy to restore trust between citizens and institutions. By adopting exemplary governance in the fight against corruption, the president is committed to establishing a transparent management model.
The CRD reforms are expected to be closely monitored by citizens, and it is hoped that they will lead to lasting changes in the fight against corruption in Burkina Faso.
