Israel has ordered new military strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, raising concerns about the stability of an already fragile ceasefire.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military to act “forcefully,” citing what his office described as repeated violations of the truce by Hezbollah.

The ceasefire, initially announced by U.S. President Donald Trump in April, was meant to pause fighting for 10 days and was later extended. However, tensions have continued, with both sides accusing each other of breaking the agreement.

Reports indicate that since early March, violence has persisted, with thousands of casualties and ongoing exchanges of attacks. Hezbollah has targeted Israeli military positions and communities, while Israel has carried out strikes in Lebanon.

In simple terms, although a ceasefire exists on paper, fighting has not fully stopped—and this latest order risks escalating the conflict even further.
