Egypt’s Ambassador to Kenya, Wael Nasr el-Din Attia, met with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Moses Kuria, on Wednesday to discuss strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, steps to revitalize the activities of the joint technical trade committee were discussed. Kuria highlighted the increase in Egypt’s tea imports and Kenya’s exports of textiles and construction materials, drawing attention to the growing trade relations.
Kuria also emphasized the benefits of COMESA trade exemptions that facilitate business for traders in both countries. He expressed Kenya’s desire to attract more Egyptian investors, particularly in industrial projects, by offering appropriate incentives.
