U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s latest proposal to end the conflict, saying it is “not acceptable” after reviewing it.

Despite this firm stance, negotiations are still ongoing. Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, confirmed that Washington remains in contact with Tehran, suggesting that diplomacy is not completely off the table.

According to reports, Iran submitted a detailed plan through a mediator in Pakistan, which has been playing a key role in facilitating talks. Iran has also received a response from the U.S. and is currently reviewing it.

Although a ceasefire is in place following earlier mediation, attempts to reach a full agreement have stalled. Previous talks in Islamabad did not lead to a breakthrough, and further in-person meetings have not been scheduled.

Trump also signaled a shift in how discussions are handled, saying future negotiations may happen remotely instead of long international trips.

Overall, while both sides are still talking, a clear resolution to the conflict remains uncertain.
