The Nigerian government has signed an agreement with local manufacturer Proforce to enhance the operational capacity of its military and safeguard state sovereignty.

Under this agreement, Proforce will deliver five Hulk armored vehicles, featuring the latest model, to the Nigerian Army.

The Hulk armored vehicles, which were launched in July and inspired by the Russian Spartak model, stand out for their Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) features. These vehicles can autonomously perform reconnaissance, infiltration, and liaison missions. Equipped with amphibious capabilities, Hulk vehicles come with various weapon systems and tracking equipment. Additionally, they have towing capacity, allowing them to carry different systems.

This purchase is considered part of Nigeria’s strategy to enhance the operational capabilities of its military. The government has also decided to purchase a 15% stake in Proforce Limited to support local production. This move aims to facilitate the production of more equipment for the military while contributing to the national economy.
